Black Iguana is heading out to high-desert terrain in West Texas. Film aficionados will be sampling Black Iguana Frozen Ritas at the first annual Marfa Film Festival (May 1-5), where over 40 features, shorts and experimental works will be screened.

Marfa Film Festival is opening with a screening of THERE WILL BE BLOOD on the set where it was filmed. Closing out the festival (on May 5), movie legend Dennis Hopper will return to the area for the first time since acting in the movie GIANT in order to screen his seldom-seen Venice Film Fest-award-winning western, THE LAST MOVIE.
Because Marfa’s wide-open plain, distant mountains and incomparably starry sky are part of the draw, Marfa Film Festival will have outdoor screenings set up by the Alamo Drafhouse Rolling Roadshow.
Indoor screenings will be anchored at the state-of-the-art Goode-Crowley Theater. Festival headquarters are at the famous Paisano Hotel (where James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor lived during the filming of GIANT).

Tasted the juicy drink for the first time on Saturday at the Marfa Film Festival. It is an awesome tasty drink and I will be drinking it on a regular basis. I’m a Tequila drinker and the Black Iguana is a perfect specimen. Congratulations on your wonderful recipe for this wonderful drink. Rose
