Black Iguana Day at the 93Q Country Festival

20 05 2008

The 93Q A Day in the Country Festival, May 17 (Saturday) at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds in Rosenberg was defintely Black Iguana Day!

We sold a record number of Black Iguana Frozen Ritas and our newly launched Strawberry flavor was a monster hit!

The Black Iguana merchandise tent also sold a record number of Black Iguana T-shirts.

Hats off to the entire Black Iguana crew that barely had a moment to rest! From setting up all the Black Iguana banners and the Black Iguana tent the day before the festival to continuously keeping the beverage stands with ample supply of Black Iguanas and selling T-shirts and handing out Frozen Rita samples at the Black Iguana tent — it was a lot of team coordination and super hard work! The Black Iguana team was awesome!

Within a few hours, the crowds soon became a sea of Black Iguana fans! People were walking around with 3-5 Black Iguana pouches clipped to their neck lanyards. Black Iguana T-shirts were everywhere. You know you have brand power when people want to wear your brand!

For the majority at the festival, it was the first time they had tried Black Iguana — we received a lot of positive feedback! They loved the taste, the pouch, the logo, the brand name! And they wanted to know where they could buy it — check our website, enter your zipcode and you’ll get a list of retail stores that sell Black Iguana.

And thanks to Tina — our beautiful backstage PR rep — country recording artist Ashton Shephard wore a Black Iguana T-shirt during her set on stage. Thank you Ashton for being such a great sport — we owe you some Black Iguanas!

CLICK on this93Q website link to vote for your favorite performance at the event Saturday. EVERYBODY needs to give Ashton Shepherd at least 10 votes…if you have time, do more. All you Black Iguana fans — let’s show Ashton the support that she showed us!

One of the biggest crowd drawers at the festival was our one-of-a-kind, award-winning Black Iguana Chuc-deVille! It was a huge favorite photo op with 93Q fans! It had a train horn that we would blast to create even more excitement!

Here’s some feedback we’ve just received:

Just wanted to say thank you for the great response we got about your product. I called my people yesterday and they all said it sold really good. They didn’t know who asked for more the guys or gals, but I think the guys like it for a change from beer. I sure hope you are there at the Fort Bend County Fair this year.
