The Black Iguana Frozen Rita retail packaging won the prestigious AMA Houston Crystal Award and was also selected as the Judge’s Favorite Runnerup from over 200 program finalists in over 50 award categories!
May has been a month of awards and recognition for Black Iguana!
AMA Houston — the fourth largest American Marketing Association chapter in the world — hosted the 22nd Annual Crystal Awards on May 22. Over 500 marketing professionals attended the Crystal Awards event.
“From the start, we wanted a distinctive hip and cool brand image for Black Iguana. We’re very excited about the product packaging Crystal Award and that the judges selected the Black Iguana packaging design as their favorite runnerup! At retail stores and at our product samplings, we’re seeing that the Black Iguana packaging has been very effective in attracting new consumers and creating brand recognition,” Earl Castor, CEO of DGI Beverage said.
The Aesbus creative design team worked very closely with us to launch our Black Iguana Frozen Rita product in a retail box that would create interest and stand out in the retail shelf space. It was really great working with a Houston-based firm — ours was a completely new product and they were terrific in their tireless commitment to our success, always ready and willing to continuously rework multiple designs!
