LSU Fighting Tiger & Black Iguana

Mike the Tiger at the LSU vs Florida game was ferociously geared up and was showing some swagger with Black Iguana!

Black Iguana was definitely a chick magnet.

The Fighting Tiger fans mashed up their Purple & Gold colors  with the Black & Lime Green!  Fashionistas, not.  Partyistas, yes!  

The LSU GRRRRRLS not only wore their Purple & Gold stripes with pride — they also really loved the Black Iguana Frozen Ritas!  

David Alden Wilks and LSU tailgate party friends set a new standard in FUN! The large supply of Frozen Ritas brought a lot of tailgating cheer and out-of-the-beer-box creativeness.

CJ’s on the Park  in Kingwoood is a late-night destination wine bar for local residents and a music venue featuring well-known local Houston area musicians. Their slogan is “Meet me at CJ’s”, and now that they’ll be serving Black Iguana, it could also be “Meet Black Iguana at CJ’s!”

Building Goodwill – A Rotary Tradition

In keeping with that tradition, Black Iguana Frozen Ritas were provided at one of the Fort Bend Rotary Club fundraiser auctions that fund scholarships and other community service programs. The Rotary membership represents a variety of business and professional leaders who take an active role in service projects for their community.  The Frozen Ritas helped liven up the auction participation a bit – and all for a good cause!

Harvard’s Hot! Houston’s Not?

Socialite and TV reality star Paris Hilton shows up at Harvard University, gets her Lampoon “Woman of the Year” award, and then gives her signature trademark commentary “It’s hot! Harvard’s hot!”

Then this party chick (movie star?) shows up in Houston to drum up some much-needed PR for her new movie release: The Hottie and the Nottie. Any “Houston’s hot” declarations from Paris? Apparently not! 

Talk of the Town

Black Iguana co-founders Earl Castor and Paul Castor met up with some very important UH alumni and had the opportunity to meet UH System chancellor and UH president Dr. Renu Khator and football first-year head coach Kevin Sumlin at the National Signing Day event.

There was lots of talk and buzz about Dr. Khator’s 100-day plan and coach Sumlin’s recruiting schedule, but the event guests also talked up the great taste of the Black Iguana Frozen Ritas that were provided for the event. 

Dr. Khator exhibited quite a charming “Texan” sense of humor when she offered a new slogan for Black Iguana: “If life hands you lemons, make Margaritas!” And when Earl approached her about renaming Robertson Stadium to Black Iguana Stadium, she said: “I just love people who think big!”

We’re betting that some great things are about to take place at UH! Go Cougars! Go Black Iguana!
