Black Iguana Goes Top Gun

Black Iguana is now at some of San Antonio’s military commissaries: Lackland AFB and Ft. Sam Houston. The commissaries sell groceries and household goods to active–duty, Guard, Reserve, and retired service families at an average savings of more than 30% when compared to prices at local civilian supermarkets.

Lackland AFB is home of the 37th Training Wing — the largest training wing in the Air Force. Its four primary training functions graduate more than 86,000 students annually. Lackland AFB has over 120 units. Only 36 of those units are assigned to the 37th Training Wing. Another 22 units make up Air Reserve Command’s 433d Airlift Wing. Under the Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency and the 67th Network Warfare Wing, there are 18 Air Combat Command units stationed at Lackland. The remaining units at Lackland are within the 59th Medical Wing, the Texas Air National Guard’s 149th Fighter Wing, and other tenant units, agencies and centers.

Ft. Sam Houston BaseFort Sam Houston is known as the “Home of Army Medicine“, providing space for a major medical treatment facility, medical research and education activities, as well as medical training and operations commands supporting worldwide Army medical care for Soldiers and their families.

Biz Radio Network Jack Warkenthein, avid Black Iguana fan and radio show host on Biz Radio Network (Where Wall Street Meets Main Street), sent us this comment: “I had some friends in from San Antonio last weekend, and while at the pool, I pulled out my LAST REMAINING “frozen ritas”. They absolutely LOVED it and want more. Where can they get the product in S.A. right now?”

All you San Antonians, start requesting Black Iguana at your local grocery store! Alamo City is the most perfect “Iguana-land”!

17 03 2008

Black Iguana has recently been picked up by The RK Group, San Antonio’s premier catering company. They had a huge KO success selling Black Iguana Frozen Ritas at one of their outdoor events. Their plans include selling Black Iguana at upcoming festivals in San Antonio.

The RK Group has helped the city ”roll out the red carpet” at large-scale star-studded events, such as Donald Trump’s Miss USA post-telecast party.

Black Iguana is proud to be associated with one of the top food services, catering and special events companies in Texas!
