The Guy Expo ‘09 comes to Houston this weekend (November 6-8) at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The Y Chromosome Zone is all about what guys love under one roof.  And that list includes: Cheerleaders, Hooters Girls, guy work tools, jumbo TVs, contests, prizes, fried & hot/firey food, sports celebrities and lots of sports stuff — including a lifesize inflatable football goal post setup to test your field goal kicking skills!

There’s even the The Almost-Darwin Awards — a completely ridiculous contest that’s a lot of fun!

Come in an Elvis Presley jumpsuit and get in free! Grab your buddies and get in on the fun! Actually, it’s all Family Fun…

A portion of The Guy Expo profits will support their charity partner Habitat for Humanity, which will showcase a Tricked-Out Garage.

Black Iguana Revs Up The Roar

Black Iguana will rev up the fun at the Lone Star Rally in Galveston this Halloween weekend (Oct 29 – Nov 1).  

With over 350,000 attendees, this is one of the largest Texas motorcycle rallies!  And best of all, it’s FREE (except to see the concerts).

Black Iguanas will be sold along The Strand! So come on out this weekend and have a great time!

LSU Fighting Tiger & Black Iguana

Mike the Tiger at the LSU vs Florida game was ferociously geared up and was showing some swagger with Black Iguana!

Black Iguana was definitely a chick magnet.

The Fighting Tiger fans mashed up their Purple & Gold colors  with the Black & Lime Green!  Fashionistas, not.  Partyistas, yes!  

The LSU GRRRRRLS not only wore their Purple & Gold stripes with pride — they also really loved the Black Iguana Frozen Ritas!  

David Alden Wilks and LSU tailgate party friends set a new standard in FUN! The large supply of Frozen Ritas brought a lot of tailgating cheer and out-of-the-beer-box creativeness. 

David set up a Beer Bong for Black Iguanas and it was the Bomb!

The Black Iguana team did some serious tailgating at the UofH Cougars v TxTech Red Raiders game, September 26. The Frozen Ritas were going fast!

All you Black Iguana amigos — come to the La Raza Fiestas Patrias this Sunday (September 20) at the Sam Houston Race Park. 

GRATIS — FREE!  The festival is sponsored by La Raza 98.5 FM and  103.3 FM. 

Fiestas Patrias, meaning “National Holidays,” celebrates the end of Spanish rule in Mexico and is commemorated each year with festivities involving live cultural music, native dances, costumes, cuisine and homage to folk heroes.   The day-long event will begin at 11 a.m. and take place in the West Lot of The Park.

Black Iguana fans have been enjoying the Verizon Wireless Summer Concert Series immediately following racing at the Sam Houston Race Park. The concerts take place most Saturdays — May through August.

Black Iguana Is Off to the Races!

Don’t miss the Grand Re-Opening Weekend Celebration Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 3 at the Sam Houston Race Park. 

The Showgrounds festivities at the SHRP will include live racing and fireworks (May 1); the prestigious 135th Running of the Kentucky Derby, afternoon live racing and a post-race concert from Joan Jett and the Blackhearts with special guests The Smithereens (May 2); and live racing and brunch at the Winner’s Circle Restaurant (May 3).  See  the simulcast of the 13-race card from Churchill Downs on the new, 19 ft by 38 ft state-of-the-art LED video tote board.

There will be a $500 Hat Contest judged by a panel of celebrity judges, traditional Mint Julep cocktails with commemorative Kentucky Derby glass, official Kentucky Derby merchandise, prize giveaways and more!

Of course for those of you that prefer Frozen Margaritas over Mint Juleps, you’ll also be able to enjoy Black Iguana Frozen Ritas!

 

Bloomin Fun with Black Iguana

Wildflowers weren’t the only thing blooming in Temple. Black Iguana Frozen Ritas were the newest Spring Season sensation at the Bloomin Temple Festival in downtown Temple.

The 3-day festival featured live entertainment (including country legend Jerry Jeff Walker), arts & crafts, car show,  barbecue cook-off, and a carnival.
